Junior Prom

My beautiful daughter Alicia went to her Junior Prom tonight.  She is so lovely and had a wonderful time.  I am grateful that she chose a modest dress and that she is such a sweet young lady!!  She is a joy to my life!!

Even her jewelry and nails were beautiful!!  So was her corsage that she received from her date!!

Our first break up on the Kuskokwim river

When the river starts to break up the town has a party with hot dogs and music.  It was quite interesting.  I imagined the water with fluffy white chunks of ice floating down.  To my surprise there was much more ice and it was muddier than I imagined.  If you stood and looked at it too long it felt like you were the one moving.  It was an interesting sensation and a fun experience!!  I am glad we came here.  I am sure there are more adventures to come!!  Oh and the band was singing a song that said "shotgun, shoot him before he runs"  Very funny!!!

An Exciting Award!!

I am so excited!!  My sweet friend Jacquee gave me this award!!  It is my first one ever!!  I love having a blog and it keeps me doing projects so I can put them on the blog!!  I love having Jacquee to craft with she is such an inspiration and so very sweet!!

Now for the rules of this award.

Post this wonderful award on your blog.  Share this award with 10 other people you think have
Cricut-tastic blogs.  Then share 5 cricut related things about yourself.

1. I got a Cricut Creat in February of 2009 and just upgraded to the Peppermint expression!!  It is so pretty and one of my favorite colors!! (Red and Green are the best!!)
2. I have 28 cartridges and 1 on the way!!!
3. I corrupted many friends into my passion for Cricut and my best friend in Washington got a Cricut for Christmas.
4. I never watched the Cricut video and I love to learn by trial and error.  I ruined the first blade that I tried to replace.  I have learned more from watching videos on blogs, especially My Pink Stamper and Obsessed with Scrapbooking.
5.  Cricuting is so much more fun with a friend!!  My favorite friends to Cricut with are Maureen and Jacquee!

My Pink Stamper Challenge #12

This challenge was to do a kid themed project.  Well, Alicia is a kid through and through.  These pictures are of her 14th birthday.  She is so funny and was quite amped up this day because she was with her cousins and the whole family was together for my parents 50th  wedding anniversary!!  She always makes me laugh!! I used my friend's Birthday Bash cartridge and Fancy Pants paper.

My Pink Stamper Challenge #9

This challenge was to add glitz or glitter to a project.  Since I love stickles glitter glue this is not problem for me!!  This is my beautiful daughter Rebecca on her 12th birthday.  She is such a joy to have as a daughter!!

I used my friend's new Birthday Bash cartridge and Fancy Pants paper.  I love the colors!!

My Pink Stamper Challenge #8

This challenge was to do a Summer themed project!!  We love to go to the beach so a beach page just screams summer to me.  This layout was from a trip to Seaside Oregon using Bo Bunny Paper!

Pink Stamper Challenge #7

This challenge was to make a scrapbook page.  I finished this school page and used my new Locker Talk cartridge!!  I think it turned out cute but the pictures don't do it justice!!

Pink Stamper Challenge #6

This challenge was to add a tag to your project, which I do all of the time!!  So, this was an easy one for me!!  I am currently working on Summer and Fall of 2008, so that is when these pictures were taken.  I have to scrap in chronological order so sometimes it is nice to look back and see what we did a couple of years ago!

Mother's Day and My Pink Stamper Challenge #4

I had such a great time scrappin with my new friend in Alaska.  She helped me get started with this blog and we have many similar interests.  Thank you so much Jacquee from My Closet Crafts for a super fun National Scrapbooking Day.  I have never entered a challenge so here goes.  I made this sparkly butterfly card for my mom for Mother's Day.  She loves butterflies and was just the right choice for her.  I used the Wild Card, Straight From the Nest and Celebrate with Flourish cartridges and Basic Grey and Bo Bunny paper!!
