Welcome Baby!

I made this card for a friend that I work with.  She had a baby girl in April and she is coming back to work this week.  We all collected money for a fancy double stroller for her and her two girls!!

I made a pocket for a large fold out tag because we have so many people to sign.  It is an idea I got from a friend of mine in Washington.  I think it is quite a creative idea!!

Thank You Card

I have a couple of friends that I need to thank for being so good to me.  I decided to make a couple cards tonight.  They turned out really cute but as usual the pictures don't do the card justice!

 


















I used Give a Hoot for the butterfly and Beyond Birthdays for the thank you.  The paper is Stampin Up and Close to my Heart.  I also used Diamond Stickles for the sparkles and Divine Swirls Cuttlebug folder.

Father's Day Card

My Dad is an amazing man.  The older he gets the sweeter he is and the closer I feel to him.  I wish I could express to him just how much he means to me.  I have been a single mom for a long time and my dad has been there for all of us.  He has such a cheerful personality and it always makes me feel good to talk to him!!  I am so grateful for my wonderful father!!  Thank you dad for all you do!! Here is the card I made for him.

I useed Celebrate with Flourish for the golf clubs, Wild Card for the grass and Beyond Birthdays for the Dad

It is Stampin Up paper and I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the squares.

More Baby Blankets!!

We know four women that have had baby girls so we have
had so much fun with all the girl fabrics and colors!!

Baby Blankets

I love all crafts and I was a seemstress long before I did paper crafting.  I love the colors and patterns of the fabric and all of the embellishments that go with it.  These are all the same things I love about paper!!  A couple of ladies at church have had babies lately so I made some blankets.  It is just a couple of pieces of flannel stitched together and turned and then I do a decorative edge on my sewing machine.  They come out quite cute.  I also make matching burp cloths!!  I just love babies and all of their stuff!!

Anchorage, Palmer and Seward Weekend

                                   

These are pictures of The Butte in Palmer.  My friend Beth owns a cute little store, cafe and coffee house.  It is so cute and we had a good time hanging out there.  The outside view is not bad either.  The girls then went to youth conference for a couple days and I caught up with Beth and her family.  It was a very nice break from working and daily life.

 These are pictures of a moose that we saw on the side of the road when we were driving to Seward!! 
They are so cute in an odd sort of way!
The mountains and Cook inlet were so beautiful!!  We took these pictures from the car!!

 

This is the girls in front of Exit glacier.  The last time I was here was 1997.  I cannot believe how much it has receded.  There were signs all along the trail of how far the glacier used to come down the mountain.  It was so sad to see it so far back.  It was just amazing to me how different it looked.
